I See You

In 2023 Lenore focused on portraiture, highlighting the faces of mature women. Gish wanted to focus on both the beauty that she sees in natural aging and the fact that women have traditionally struggled with feeling “seen”. In the beginning she was painting watercolour faces, combining the translucent quality of that medium with the opaque qualities of acrylic paints and collage (papers and fabrics). The size limitations of working on paper led Gish to switch to painting entirely with acrylic paints on both canvas and cradle boards. Her work was featured in a Solo Exhibition at CSpace Marda Loop in Dec. 2023.
